SALISBURY, ENGLAND, March 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steelhenge has announced that it will be featured as an exhibitor in the Business Continuity Institute's virtual exhibition, held as part of Business Continuity Awareness week. The BCI is organising a wide range of activities, designed to promote awareness of business continuity, running from the 22nd - 26th March 2010. For more information, visit www.steelhenge.co.uk or www.businesscontinuityawarenessweek.org or call 0845 094 2117.
Considered to be a flagship event in the BCM calendar, events include a full webinar programme featuring contributions from a wide range of major corporations, a global video conference featuring expert business continuity knowledge drawn from around the world and a new Q&A forum dedicated to BCM. "As a Partner of the BCI, we're delighted to be able to take part in the virtual exhibition," commented Isobel Nicholas, Marketing and Communications Director for Steelhenge. "The virtual exhibition provides an opportunity to not only showcase our own business continuity offering, but enables us to support the BCI as one of its partners, and connect with other business continuity professionals."
"Business continuity and crisis management have been brought to the forefront of people's minds by recent events at home and abroad. The UK was severely affected by snow earlier in the year, then there were the natural disasters in Haiti and Chile, and we have witnessed the reputational struggle of Toyota following the recall of millions of vehicles," said Isobel. "Whilst these events are very different in nature, they all serve to highlight the importance of being prepared to manage the unexpected, making Business Continuity Awareness Week very timely indeed."
