Alor Setar will host one of next month's Facon Education Fairs.

LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The education sector is set to descend on Malaysia next month for the 2010 Facon Education Fair.

Cities across the south-east Asian country will be hosting the event throughout December, with the tour kicking off in Johor Bahru before heading to Alor Setar, which is a relatively short journey from Langkawi hotels.

Alor Setar will stage the fair on December 14th, with higher education institutions, students and their families from across the region invited to attend.

The show has been timed to take place shortly after more than 500,000 youngsters finish their SPM, STPM, O and A-level examinations.

"During this period, students and parents will be eagerly collecting vital information on programmes and institutions of higher learning to pursue their further education," the organisers explained.

They stated the expo has built up an impressive reputation since it was first held in 1990, with more than 600 educational facilities from Malaysia and overseas setting up at the fair in previous years.

China, Germany, Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands and the US have all been represented in the past and around 60,000 visitors typically check out the events.

Facon have said a trip to the occasion is "a must" for students, school leavers, young working adults, parents and academic staff.
